30 jobs in the PR and marketing world

This week’s job openings have opportunities for two of the best careers in the U.S.–marketing and product managers.

PR pros might hold some of the the most creative jobs out there, but marketing and project management positions are considered the best jobs in America, according to a recent report.

Glassdoor named 25 jobs as the best in the U.S., and “marketing manager” took the sixth spot. “Product manager” was named eighth best job in America.

The list was calculated by comparing three factors: earning potential (noted by each career’s average annual base salary), career opportunities and available job openings. Business Insider also compiled the results into a handy infographic.

According to Glassdoor, marketing managers have an average base salary of more than $100,000; product managers earn more on average with a base salary of more than $113,000.

The employment market has plenty of job openings in both careers, as well—more than 10,000 product management positions and nearly 15,000 positions for marketing managers are currently available. This week, you can take advantage of these careers with our featured job openings.

For job seekers in California, Wix is looking for a digital marketing account manager in its San Francisco office, IBM has an opening for a senior product manager in Irvine, and Newegg seeks a marketing manager in its Industry office.

Ancestry.com has an opening for a global marketing campaign manager in Utah, Domino’s Pizza is looking for a regional marketing manager for its New York office, and there’s an opening as a product manager for Wells Fargo in Missouri. Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta is also looking for a marketing communications manager.

Many companies looking for marketing managers expect candidates to have several years of experience with digital and traditional marketing campaigns, and great communication, interpersonal and management skills.

Marketing managers are also responsible for tracking and reporting industry trends, competitor activities and campaign results, so candidates should have a strong grasp of measurement tools and analytics.

You don’t have to be in the U.S. to take advantage of marketing and product manager positions, however. Canadian companies Molson Coors and BMO Financial Group seek a senior marketing manager and a marketing manager, respectively. Johnson & Johnson has an opening for a marketing manager in France, and there’s a regional product marketing manager position open with Facebook in Hong Kong.
