Move over, singing greeting cards. You’re not the high-tech kings of your world anymore.
Not since June 20, when American Greetings released its line of justWink cards, which came along with a Facebook page, a mobile app, YouTube videos and even some definitions at UrbanDictionary.com. The app gives users the option of sending digital cards to friends and family.
“People want to share and communicate a moment, send something to people whenever they want to,” says Patrice Sadd, communications manager for American Greetings.
In just two months, the campaign’s online presence has drawn more than 6,200 Facebook likes and hundreds of YouTube views. Sadd says the company’s plan is to expand onto other online avenues as the paper versions of cards make their way into more stores.
