It's time to shine a spotlight on her exceptional achievements and celebrate her contributions. Ragan’s Top Women in Communications Awards is your chance to honor the outstanding women who have redefined the boundaries of communications.

You likely work with one of these dedicated female comms pros—it might even be you. We accept self-nominations, as well as nominations on behalf of colleagues or clients. Help us reach all extraordinary women who deserve to be recognized. Judges will select multiple winners for each category, creating the industry’s premier go-to list of leaders.

HOW TO ENTER

Tell us in 500 words or less about your nominee’s accomplishments in the previous 12 months; Hall of Entries use 900 words or less and recognize lifetime achievements. Choose a category that best describes the nominee and submit your short essay along with any supporting materials you feel will be helpful to the judges. Ragan’s panel of judges will select multiple winners from each category and reserves the right to place your nominee in the category that best fits her accomplishments.

You will be able to upload additional documents to your submission. We encourage you to include press releases, design concepts, videos, analytics, testimonials and anything else you feel will give us a better sense of your project. Proprietary or internal information can also be attached and will not be shared with the public.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • The nominee must work in a communications role.
  • You can self-nominate or nominate a client or peer from your organization or another organization.
  • You can nominate as many women as you'd like.
  • The time period: October 2022 – October 2023. Hall of Fame entries recognize lifetime achievements.
  • This is a global award; nominations are accepted from all countries.

This year’s program is open to any work executed between Oct. 1, 2022, and Oct. 20, 2023, inclusive.

ENTRY FEES

The price of each entry is $475.

A late fee of $250 per entry will be added to all entries received after 11:59 p.m. Central time on Oct. 20, 2023.

All entries are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Why should you apply?

It is increasingly important to recognize the important role of female communications professionals within an organization. This awards program allows you to prove your value, or the value of your colleagues or clients. A Top Woman in Communications reflects on the entire organization. Honorees will be recognized at a live event in 2024, earn publicity for their work across our websites and social media audiences, a custom write-up about their work, a crystal award trophy and more.

Who can enter?

Nominations may be submitted on behalf of individuals worldwide. Self-nominations, as well as nominations on behalf of colleagues or clients are accepted. The only requirement is that entries be submitted in English. This program is open to communication practitioners in the private, corporate, nonprofit and government sectors.

What does it take to be a winner?

We look for top-quality work that shows clear, bold and creative ideas that benefit the nominee's organization or client. If applicable, please provide metrics or media coverage that back up your claims, and share creative collateral such as videos, visual design or websites that were a part of the nominee's projects.

What are the entry requirements?

Tell us about your nominee’s accomplishments in the previous 12 months; Hall of Fame entries honors lifetime achievements. The winning list of Top Women will be those who have distinguished themselves among their peers with meaningful achievements.

You may also include supporting materials you believe will help our judges evaluate your nomination.

Why are some deadlines extended?

We extend deadlines based on applicant needs and upcoming promotional opportunities.

When will I find out results?

We will honor the women making the list at a special awards gala in 2024 and in special editorial programming. All entrants will be notified of results at least 3 months prior to the event.
