25 job openings in the PR and marketing world

One of this week’s positions offer career seekers the chance to join Katniss, Peeta, and Gale outside the arena.

On Nov. 21, audiences will have a chance to hear Katniss Everdeen’s message to President Snow: “If we burn, you burn with us.”

Ticket presales for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1” broke records at the end of October, and the film became Fandango’s and MovieTickets.com’s top-selling 2014 title.

The best-selling trilogy and film franchise’s second release, “Catching Fire,” made $158.2 million in its North American opening weekend last year, and it ended up earning $864.6 million worldwide. The series is also debuting on stage in 2016.

You could be part of the Mockingjay’s army with this week’s job opening.

Lionsgate is looking for a VP of corporate communications in the studio’s Santa Monica, California, office. The position involves managing executive media relations, preparing senior management for investor conferences, and handing both corporate and crisis PR situations.

The company seeks a candidate with five to eight years’ experience in corporate PR and media relations. The ideal person should also have an entertainment industry background, top-notch writing skills, and a side of financial knowledge.

Interested candidates that could hack it in the arena can also apply for Lionsgate’s senior VP of marketing.

Happy “Career Games,” and may the odds be ever in your favor.
