More than 288 million monthly active Twitter users use the second-most-popular social media network to share commentaries on life, tweet breaking news and sound off when a brand commits a faux pas.
There are more than 500 million tweets sent out every day, and if Twitter users constituted a country, it’d be the 12th-largest in the world. Twitter is seeking a director of marketing strategy and operations in its San Francisco headquarters. Candidates should have at least eight years of marketing experience; knowledge of investment banking is even better.
The position requires developing and scaling marketing campaigns with several different departments, including events, creative, messaging and international marketing teams, so candidates should have a solid marketing portfolio and a history of successfully working with teams.
It’s far from the only open listing Twitter has: Interested candidates can apply to be a product marketing manager for advertiser experience, a senior B2B account executive or a brand planner intern in the Bay Area as well.
Outside California, Twitter seeks a Vine talent development lead in its New York office. Outside the U.S., Twitter is looking for a senior account executive in Ireland, account manager in Belgium, communications manager in Mexico, account director in Germany and director of media partnerships in Australia.
