30 jobs in the PR and marketing world

This week’s featured listing gives one candidate the opportunity to work for sweet brands owned by The Hershey Co.

Packed schedules and long to-do lists are mainstays in PR professionals’ lives.

To power through content creation, media relations, social media outreach and other PR strategies, communicators often turn to various forms of caffeine. With this week’s featured listing, one PR pro could work for the company that produces the stimulant in its tastiest form.

The Hershey Co. is looking for a manager of social media and engagement in its Pennsylvania headquarters.

Hershey is the largest chocolate manufacturer in North America, owning more than 80 brands—including Jolly Rancher, Reese’s, Hershey Kisses, Kit Kat and Ice Breakers—that make roughly $7.1 billion in revenue each year.

The position involves managing the team that monitors the company’s corporate and brand social media feeds and interacts with consumers online. The right candidate will also help Hershey build its new social media program, the Center for Social Intelligence & Engagement.

Candidates should have experience with real-time marketing, managing a social media command center and both gathering and reporting analytics. They should also be adept at implementing successful campaigns across a range of social media platforms.

With the role’s various responsibilities, the chosen candidate should expect to keep a packed schedule and long to-do list—but will have a sweet pick-me-up to help, too.
