Good news! There’s no better time than right now to pitch a CEO blog because before you is a well-worn path.

It’s been three years since Sun Microsystems CEO Jonathan Schwartz became the first Fortune 500 CEO blogger and at least 10 years since cutting-edge tech execs started writing online diaries which would later be recognized as blogs.

Hundreds of executive blogs later, there are numerous lessons these top-level social media pioneers can impart—lessons you can use to pitch a CEO blog to the C-suite. So here’s the lowdown on six CEO blogs—three external and three internal—that you can take into your next pitch session with the C-suite.
