Maybe brands’ Twitter Q-and-As using special hashtags simply isn’t such a great idea.

JPMorganChase’s got so bad it had to cancel. The #MyNYPD hashtag didn’t go very well. Just this week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell’s Twitter chat with the hashtag #AskCommish turned sour.

Wednesday, yet another example got added to the pile. The Chicago Transit Authority, which has been having some difficulties with the rollout of its new Ventra payment system for riders, announced it would take questions about the transition to the new system starting at 2:30 p.m. CDT from people using the hashtag #AskVentra.

Don’t forget to join us today from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. as we answer your #Ventra transition questions. Use #AskVentra pic.twitter.com/q4Gd7lVr4m
