From a social media brainstorming session, dozens of suggestions

Writer’s block is yesterday’s problem; today, communicators (and other creative professionals) use crowdsourcing—tapping social networks for solutions and inspiration.

Vic Morales, a communicator at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, was stumped trying to craft a slogan for an employee health and productivity campaign. He turned to MyRagan for help, and got 52 responses. On Facebook, he received 22.

“Social media is all about sharing and collaboration,” Morales says. “I tap into my Facebook network regularly for parental advice, movie reviews, etc. Regarding my recent post on MyRagan—it had been forever since I had tapped into this valuable network, and it paid off.”

Morales and his colleagues at Wellmark are narrowing down the choices from social media and those they came up with themselves. They have no shortage of clever ideas to sort through. A sampling is listed below. What would you add to the list?
