Pizza chain responds to nauseating employee video by not launching a full-scale blitz

Recently, consumers have been worried about eating peanut butter and pistachios.

But thanks to a viral video spreading around YouTube and Twitter, they might think about adding pizza to the list.

On Monday, two Domino’s employees posted a video of them preparing a submarine sandwich. The results weren’t appetizing. Michael sticks cheese up his nose and performs other nauseating acts to the sandwich. His co-worker narrates this PR nightmare, saying the sandwich will be served to customers in five minutes. “Now, that’s how we roll at Domino’s,” Kristy says to the camera, laughing. (Since the incident, the pair were fired and warrants issued for their arrest.)

When corporate communicators at Domino’s were tipped off about the video, they weren’t amused. This 2:27 minute video could potentially destroy the company’s reputation.
