How Northwestern football’s social hub attracts fans and recruits

The Wildcat Way website, which launched this week, collects all of the team’s social media presences in a one-stop shop.

If you’re like a lot of college football fans, you’d really like to know everything there is to about your favorite team right now. With social media, that can be difficult: You can’t check Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook all at once.

Or can you?

This week, the Northwestern University football team unveiled a new social media hub, The Wildcat Way, which aims to make it easier for fans and recruits to plug in to every outlet for Wildcat football information in one visit.

According to Mashable, the site is the first of its kind in college football.

“We’re trying to get ahead of the curve in everything we do,” says Cody Cejda, the university’s director of football operations.

Changing gears

Before The Wildcat Way, Northwestern had a more traditional recruiting website that just wasn’t working, Cejda says.
