Just because your company currently has the No. 1 spot on all the search engines doesn’t mean you can slack on search engine optimization (SEO).
And if your company doesn’t have a prime location on Google, you definitely can’t let your SEO efforts slide.

How can you improve your search rank, apart from peppering your copy and headlines with keywords?
You can beef up the many other factors that contribute to your SEO ranking. A few of them are illustrated in the graphic, including:
- Site performance: If your site is slow or has broken links, you won’t rank as high in search engines.
- Content: Make sure your content is unique, useful and frequent (the more you post, the more people will rely on you as a source). Companies that blog see 55 percent more Web traffic than those that don’t.
- Keywords: Headlines and body copy aren’t the only places these puppies belong. Make sure to add keywords to title tags, heading tags and meta descriptions.
