Many studies and reports focus on the best times to post to social media.
These are good starting points, but because every organization has a different audience, the accuracy of these times will vary. One organization’s audience might be on social media during the workday, whereas another’s is active on weekends.
Conduct your own research, but if you’re just beginning to track your audience’s online activity and want to be pointed in the right direction, consider this infographic from Quicksprout.
It compiles the results of several studies to determine the best times to post to LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.
Here’s when it recommends posting to LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram:
LinkedIn: Post on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You’ll get the most clicks and shares between 10 and 11 a.m. on Tuesdays.
Pinterest: Post on Saturday, specifically 2-4 a.m. and 8-11 p.m. Activity peaks at 9 p.m.
Instagram: Post on Monday outside standard work hours.
