More speechwriter-bashing: Remember back in September when college professor David McGrath penned a screed about the “dishonesty” of speechwriting in The Washington Post? (Read it here if you need a refresher.) He’s at it again. In a new op-ed in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, McGrath says Barack Obama “can do the country a giant favor by … encouraging dissolution of the shady tradition of speechwriting altogether. It has contributed nothing but camouflage and obfuscation to America’s electoral process.”
