Chris Craft

St. Lucie County Tax Collector Chris Craft was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. His political career began when he was elected to the St. Lucie County Board of Commissioners in November of 2004. Craft was reelected and served as chairman of the board twice during his tenure. In 2012, he was elected St. Lucie County Tax Collector and has served the public in that role ever since. Craft is currently president of the Florida Tax Collector’s Association and served as president of the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers and Finance Officers from 2023 – 2024.
