Alina Hauptman

Alina Hauptman is the Associate Director of Public Relations at Best Friends Animal Society, where she leads the PR team. Last year alone, Alina led a dynamic team that earned over 13,000 media hits with over 50 billion impressions. Under her leadership, Best Friends Animal Society's media share of voice averaged around 50%, and she has implemented improved systems for tracking and measuring PR impact.

Alina brings decades of PR experience spanning fashion, beauty, publishing and corporate social responsibility campaigns—working on both the agency and in-house sides for well-known brands. Her journey into animal welfare began as a volunteer social media manager for Stray from the Heart, where she served for eight years before turning her passion into a full-time career with Best Friends Animal Society.

Today, Alina is dedicated to empowering shelter and rescue staff to leverage the same PR strategies that have driven Best Friends' success, helping them amplify their lifesaving work and create positive awareness for their work and the adoptable pets in their care.

Alina lives in NYC with her rescue dog, Tillie.
