Amyn Jan

Amyn Jan is the founder of AJ Emtech LLC and a Distinguished Member of ASFAI, with two decades of experience in U.S. national security and defense. Amyn serves as the Chief AI Architect at the U.S. Department of Defense. He has led large data science teams and pioneered artificial intelligence initiatives. At the agency, he managed teams advancing open-source intelligence using natural language processing (NLP), machine translation and computer vision applications. His career spans government, biomedical, telecommunications and semiconductors, including groundbreaking work in U.S. national security. He also served as a Senior Advisor for the Special Competitive Studies Project (scsp.ai) and advises AI startups. Amyn holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Virginia Tech and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
