Cheryl McKinnon is a principal analyst serving technology leaders. McKinnon delivers research and advisory services in areas including enterprise content management, content platforms, information archiving and records/retention management. She also covers digital workplace technologies such as content-centric collaboration, modern intranets, and employee communication platforms.
Before joining Forrester, McKinnon ran an independent consulting firm, serving both private- and public-sector clients. She has served as vice president of marketing for the industry association AIIM and has held senior marketing and product management roles with vendors in the content management space.
McKinnon frequently presents at events such as conferences, seminars and webinars. She has been a member of AIIM and ARMA and has served on several association committees. Cheryl has been a guest contributor to a variety of industry publications and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, TechTarget, Bloomberg, Reuters, KMWorld and CMSWire, among others.
McKinnon has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Winnipeg and an MA in history from Carleton University.
