Megan Person

Megan Person is a Director of Communications and Legislative Affairs at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center. In this role, she leads a team of talented communicators who give the world a front row seat to the work being done at NASA. Covering Aeronautics, Science and Space Technology, the team brings the world into NASA’s labs, cockpits and experiments through their solid and focused communications work. She previously served as News Chief & Legislative Affairs helping NASA Armstrong tell their story so the public can enjoy their journey through flight and space developments. Before NASA, she served as CCO for Kern County, CA, where she was responsible for critical and wide-ranging marketing, public relations and communications objectives. She has also served as a communications leader and speechwriter for State Farm, a marketing coordinator for United Way of Kern County, a public affairs specialist for Kaiser Permanente. Perhaps the role she’s most proud of is instructor at the local community college where she taught evening classes on public speaking, interpersonal and group communication.
