Taco Bell takes a shellacking over shell licking
A photo of an employee licking taco shells made the rounds on a few sites Monday. Commenters were either grossed out or unsure about the photo’s veracity.
The latest example of a fast-food employee apparently doing something disgusting to food is this photo, which hit Consumerist and The Huffington Post among other sites Monday, of a Taco Bell employee licking a stack of taco shells. The picture was originally posted to Taco Bell’s Facebook page Sunday.
In response to the photo, Taco Bell issued this statement:
Comments on the original Facebook post range from “That’s disgusting!” to defending the employee for not wasting expired shells. There’s also speculation about whether the photo is fake.
