JOB DESCRIPTION
Arcadis is excited to again be growing their team. Our team seeking a communications intern to join our innovative, collaborative team of skilled communications professionals in Atlanta, GA. Our team is actively engaged with local, regional, and state agency clients to support a variety of transportation projects, and many of these projects require communications, marketing, and/or public relations expertise.
Our paid communications internship provides an opportunity for undergraduate university students – juniors or seniors only – to gain practical experience under the guidance of seasoned professionals with a vast array of experience in both public- and private-sector organizations working within our Design and Engineering Teams.
The internship will start in April or May 2023. The communications team prefers a commitment of 20 to 40 hours of work per week, although flexibility is available to balance any classroom demands. Most of the work can be performed virtually from home, although some in-office work will be required.
The role sits within our Mobility global business area where we partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. future generations.
Responsibilities:
As communications intern you will assist the team with coordinating and conducting stakeholder and public engagement meetings, either virtual or in-person. You will have the opportunity help draft press releases, develop PowerPoint slide decks, write social media posts, and generate other pieces of collateral and participate in and contribute to internal team meetings. Organization is required with the responsibility of document repositories and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate university program in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with or interest in the transportation industry
- Expertise in social media platforms/analytics
- Expertise in graphic design (print and/or digital)
