Creative Services & Digital Design Specialist
Seeking a talented Creative Services and Digital Design Specialist (“Specialist”) to join our Business Development/Marketing & Communications Team. Role is responsible for creating on-brand marketing materials encompassing a variety of media types that includes digital, video and print. The Specialist is a full-time, nonexempt, hourly position in the Business Development Department reporting to the Creative Services Manager. The ideal candidate will bring creative and original ideas, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to expand their skillset working with the Communication and Marketing Technology Team to optimize the Foley Hoag brand across all external and internal communication channels.
What you’ll do:
- Work with the Communications and Creative services team to design compelling and effective marketing materials across a variety of media types, consistently using the brand’s visual identity across all of these materials. Materials include, but are not limited to, social media graphics, PPT presentations, video, Word publications/datasheets. digital and printed collateral, event invitations and materials, firm website, advertisements, and email campaigns.
- Supports the internal Communication, Creative & Marketing Technology Team in executing on campaigns and other larger, integrated projects.
- Participates in team brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for new campaigns and initiatives.
- Integrate animation and video into graphics strategy.
- Is able to work through multiple design iterations based on internal and stakeholder feedback and is proactive in suggesting alternate design solutions to stakeholders to best address their needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed.
Who you are:
- Ability to work through all stages of design from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in all industry standard software: Adobe Creative Suite particularly Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrat and Acrobat.
- Experience with all aspects of video production including lighting, shooting, editing, etc. required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – particularly PowerPoint and Word. Excel skills, a plus.
- Adobe After Effects, Dreamweaver, CSS/HTML knowledge a plus.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, composition, color theory, and branding and style guides.
- Knowledge of and interest in current design and marketing trends.
- Consistently review existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement leveraging best practices, new technology, and new marketing tactics.
- Experience with email marketing and CRM systems.
- Experience with digital advertising and social media campaigns and metrics.
- Knowledge of WordPress helpful.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofing for content and context.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Understands project requirements and workflow processes.
- Willingness to learn and develop one’s existing skillset; leverages feedback from team members to hone skills and improve designs/deliverables.
- Ability to work in both a MAC and PC environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA/BA/BS degree required. Marketing/Graphic design degree preferred.
- In-house/brand-side experience in supporting marketing or business development in business-to-business professional services setting.
- Portfolio required.
