JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director-HRBP role will support Regeneron’s corporate functions (“G&A”), which include Finance, Law, IT, Global Procurement, Investor Relations, Facilities, Corporate Affairs, Business Development, and Strategic Alliances. The G&A organization has an employee population of more than 1200 employees and is located primarily in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, NY, with a growing international footprint in the UK, Ireland, and Asia.
You will be a sounding board and trusted advisor for the business, evaluating, influencing, and executing people-centric solutions to business challenges and enabling Regeneron to deliver on its mission to use the power of science to bring new medicines to patients.
This role reports to an Executive Director, HRBP, responsible for all G&A functions with a team that includes two other HRBP’s and is part of a larger team reporting up to a Vice President of Human Resources with oversight over both G&A and Commercial. This organizational structure provides meaningful opportunities for cross-functional teamwork and learning. Additionally, there is an expectation of being an active contributor to a global HRBP team that shares and aligns best talent practices and cultivates enterprise-wide consistency. A core part of the role is translating business needs to the HR Centers of Excellence, working collaboratively on responsive solutions.
The role is a minimum of 4 days onsite, based at our HQ campus in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This role is not open to fully remote-based work arrangements.
A Typical Day Might Include The Following
- Providing senior level HRBP support to the G&A function including partnering with key leaders in the business and HR COEs to provide strategic, operational, and programmatic support across all areas of the employee lifecycle. Serving as a trusted business advisor.
- Providing coaching to executives, managers and employees, with an emphasis on promoting and maintaining Regeneron’s high-performance culture and how demonstrating the Regeneron Way (our cultural values) can help drive their individual and organizational success.
- Identifying talent needs, key talent and developing a plan to either develop and or hire to support the business’s growth. Partners with our Talent Center of Excellence, Talent Acquisition, and client groups to identify current and future talent needs. Helps drive the best hiring decisions in a rapidly growing organization with high standards. Supports career development strategies and partners with leaders on succession planning.
- Identifying needs (individual, team and department levels) within client areas and partners with Organizational Development Consulting team to design solutions that will address these needs.
- Partnering with the Total Rewards Center of Excellence to define new roles, identify external comparable/market value of positions, implement annual pay for performance, market adjustments, and other reward and recognition programs, as well as developing, revising, and communicating career ladders and matrixes.
- Partnering with Total Rewards to manage overall performance and compensation planning year-end for the G&A function including performance calibration and ratings, merit, bonus and long term incentive award processes.
- Partnering with Employee Relations team to ensure timely and effective resolution to employee inquiries and complaints and support enterprise risk management.
- Leading and supporting ad hoc projects related to HR initiatives.
- Leading change management practices within assigned client groups to ensure organizational change is successfully adopted.
- Managing and/or facilitating Workday and other HRIS transactions.
This Role May Be For You If Have
- Held HRBP leadership roles supporting G&A businesses & leadership, with a strong preference for IT and/or Legal
- Experience in complex, mid to large matrixed, pharma/biotech global organizations, having undergone significant growth and business or digital transformation and change management
- Are able to quickly develop trusted relationships with people at all levels
- Are able to craft and deliver people solutions that will benefit the business
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong leadership skills, self-awareness and emotional intelligence
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills and strong business acumen with a desire to learn the Regeneron business
- Learning agility and comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values a collaborative, “roll up the sleeves” ethos
- A significant understanding of HR legal regulations, state & federal compliance laws
- Strong familiarity and agility with Microsoft Suite products, HRIS systems, and other people-related systems
To be considered for this role you must possess a Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related areas with 10+ years of progressive experience in HRBP teams and oversight of HRBP initiatives.
