The Internal Communications Manager will manage the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) internal communications efforts, including developing core messaging strategies for MEDC leadership, developing a consistent voice for the organization across communications efforts, messaging to support External Affairs efforts, development of presentation materials and internal employee communications. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to function with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and communicate project plans to peers and upper management.
- Ability to build trust throughout the organization and to transition between varieties of projects the deliver results for internal customers charged with implementing MEDC’s strategic priorities.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Minimum Education Required:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
Minimum Experience Required:
This position requires a minimum of four to six years related experience and/or training in managing, developing, and implementing internal or executive communications strategies and visions, content development and project management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities.
