What will I be doing?
The Manager of HSM Communications will be responsible for the internal and external communications for Hilton Supply Management. The Manager will support HSM Brand Strategy and Leadership teams to drive messaging that clearly and consistently communicates HSM’s vision, value proposition, and key brand initiatives.
**This role is based in our McLean, VA corporate office***
More Specifically, You Will
- Own and deliver the annual communications strategy to tell our story, drive brand awareness and engage with key target audiences
- Take complicated information and distill it down to clear and concise messaging
- Understand and represent the brand voice in all communications
- Support leader communications, including regular executive messaging and be able to identify and differentiate leadership’s voice from the HSM brand voice
- Manage the communications calendar and lead the development and timing of several internal and external communications, including newsletters, emails, memos, etc.
- Oversee contractors and third-party agencies in the development and delivery of communication projects
- Work cross-functionally with various internal teams in crafting a clear message, building a distribution list, and completing projects and initiatives on time and within budget
- Collaborate with Hilton Communication teams to identify and pursue Public Relations initiatives
- Drive use of social media platforms (mostly LinkedIn) with timely on-brand messaging, working alongside the Marketing Manager and Events Manager to gather necessary information and approvals
- Deliver a weekly communications packet to senior leadership for review, ensuring projects are staying on track with timelines
- Ensure all HSM communications adhere to corporate brand guidelines
- Continuously research competitor landscape and evaluate supply chain trends for strategic opportunities

- Experienced in project management with the ability to align partners and complete projects within given timelines
- Self-starter that has a positive energy, is willing to take ownership of responsibilities and can work autonomously
- Meticulously thorough with superior organizational skills
- Creative problem-solving skills to effectively find solutions for problems and adjust plans on the fly while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to come into the McLean, VA office on a weekly basis for the hybrid on-site work schedule
- Travel up to 30%
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- BA/BS Bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years of project management experience
- Global experience working in the hospitality or travel industry
- Experience managing vendors and external agencies
