 NYT launches real estate mag: The Times will debut KEY: The New York Times Real Estate on Sept. 10th inside the Sunday Times, and plans to publish the special issue twice a year in 2007. KEY will cover residential real estate, renovation trends, home design, and financing.

More hires at Portfolio: The much-hyped Conde Nast business magazine, set to launch in mid-2007, adds New York Observer media reporter Gabriel Sherman, Details Articles Editor Kevin Gray and Wired writer Susan Murcko. (The New York Post reports that New Yorker writer, book author and former Wall Street Journal Editor James B. Stewart has turned down Portfolio Editor Joanne Lipman’s offers to join the magazine.)

Dan Rather to anchor again: The former CBS anchorman says he will helm Dan Rather Presents, a news program debuting on HDNet in October. HDNet is a high-definition news and entertainment channel being rolled out by Mark Cuban.
