After months of tender loving compliments for Facebook, bloggers are turning against the social networking giant. What does this mean for 2008?

Aaaah, the fickle blogosphere—what was once a rapturous love affair with Facebook is turning sour. Perhaps it was just summer lovin’. Only a few months ago, social media gurus and communicators were abuzz over the wonders of this social networking site. And let’s be clear, many remain smitten—among them some very influential bloggers.

But last week a Fortune magazine blog ripped the social networking site. “Facebook is now being devoured by the shark,” wrote Josh Quittner, a longtime tech reporter. “There’s so much blood in the water, it’s attracting other sharks … I’ve never seen anything like it in the annals of fast-rising tech companies that fail.”
