Bloggers are sharing examples of social media marketing success—and it’s packed with jargon

This week bloggers are all about sharing best practices and buzzwords.

Mitch Joel, of blog Six Pixels of Separation, wrote last week that he wanted to create the most up-to-date guide for best practices on social media marketing. The guide, he hoped, would include contributions from marketers and communicators across the blogosphere.

Bloggers are heeding Joel’s call. For instance, Shel Holtz cited “inclusion” as an important best practice for social media marketers. When a CEO blogs, he or she can communicate with average customers and obscure shareholders, Holtz explained.

“For my part, I try to answer every personal e-mail I get … .” Holtz added.

Meanwhile, South African blogger Nelly Spencer, a marketing manager, wrote about the importance of authenticity.
