Whoops! Typo in ‘Dark Vador’ burger angers Star Wars fan

A French fast-food chain misspells the name of a movie character we all know and love. Sacre bleu!

Alert all commands. A fast-food chain in France called Quick has started advertising its new Dark Vador burger, complete with a black bun, as a tie-in to the Feb. 8 release of “Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace” in 3D.

And just in case you think 3D glasses are to blame for the misspelling of “vader,” think again. The truth is as dark as the black bun on which it sits. No, it appears this was just a good old-fashioned goof-up during the editing process.

Now, I can only speak for myself, as someone who watched Star Wars in my formative years in dark theaters throughout Ohio, but we take our Star Wars very seriously in America, and the force is strong with this error.
