No one tweeter can please everyone; we aren’t meant to. Twitter can be used in many ways, including sharing content that will humor, enlighten, or stimulate the minds of followers.

However, there are some who fail their followers. Some tweeters leave us no choice: unfollow!

We poked the question, “What tweets make you unfollow people?” into the brains of our MyRagan communicators and our Twitter cohorts. What we got in return was a collection of Twitter personae and the behaviors that drive followers crazy—or just away.

The narcissist

When Twitter asks you “What happening?” they don’t necessarily mean tweet everything you do. Engage your followers; they want some Twitter-love, too.

The hopeless romantic

Though we’re sure your followers are glad you’re in a happy relationship, they don’t need the play-by-play. Keep to yourself the schmoozing between you and your significant other.
