We’ve seen companies banning email at work. Now the corporate memo is getting the axe.
Julie Sweet, the CEO of Accenture’s North American business, has banned corporate memos in favor of video.
“When I became CEO about 18 months ago, I banned the memo,” Sweet told CNBC. “I said, ‘I’m going to use webcast. I’m going to use video.'”
Her decision has improved communication among her 50,000 employees because, for one, video “allows you to be more authentic, less scripted,” she said.
Learn many other reasons you should use more video in this free guide, “Improve Employee Engagement through Live Video,” from IBM Cloud Video.
The guide details the state of employee engagement, how video can better connect employees to leaders and why you can’t afford not to use it. Not only is video cost-efficient and effective, it stems the productivity loss from disengaged workers. That loss reaches billions annually.
