You’re not alone. Attendees of our #RaganSocial Twitter chat discussed the problems they face and shared potential solutions. Take a look.
Problem #1: Persuading the C-suite that social media is worthwhile.
Solution: Tell your higher-ups that the public will discuss your brand whether you’re on social media or not. Why not quash misconceptions and maintain your brand’s reputation?
Social media is also a fabulous customer service tool. It’s where much of your audience talks about your brand. You should be there to respond to complaints or thank them for accolades.
Finally, social media provides a platform for your company’s brand to develop a voice, reach a new audience and create brand advocates. And, it’s free (for the most part)!
Problem #2: It’s difficult to stand out among all the social media noise.
Solution: Don’t try to be everything to everyone; find a target audience. Listen and respond to those who are talking about your brand.
