I know a lot of us PR types are wondering: What the heck can we do to make ourselves the best we can be when almost everything we do is virtual? I’ve been thinking about this for a long time and have collected a list of ways to ensure that our online presence is absolutely perfect.

By now, we’ve all received the message that our online reputations and images are as important, if not more important, than their off-the-Web counterparts.

So here’s how to rise from the ground floor to a higher level. I am giving you what I think are the best (time-tested) ideas on how to transport your presence on the Internet from, well, wherever it is to where it needs to be. Ignore them if you so choose, or apply them and prosper.
