Before April Fools’ Day even got here, someone was getting into major trouble over some online jokes.
That someone is Trevor Noah, the 31-year-old South African comedian that Comedy Central named Monday as Jon Stewart’s successor on “The Daily Show.” Less than a day after the announcement, Twitter users found some questionable jokes in Noah’s timeline.
This one led to claims of sexism:
“Oh yeah the weekend. People are gonna get drunk & think that I’m sexy!” – fat chicks everywhere.
