1. What Delta’s mask mandate messaging says about employee comms

On Monday, a U.S. district court ruled that that the CDC can no longer enforce a federal mask mandate at U.S. airports and transportation hubs, on aircrafts, trains, busses and other means of transportation. Many flight crews announced this news to passengers in flight and began to implement it instantly. Amtrak, Uber and Lyft also dropped the mandate. Others, such as New York’s Metropolitan Transit Authority, continued to enforce masking requirements.

Delta Airlines published a message via its brand newsroom that was first shared with employees, stating that masks are now optional for all employees:
