Gerber grabs kudos with first ever ‘Gerber baby’ with Down syndrome

The company’s chief executive said the 1-year-old’s ‘winning smile and joyful expression won [their] hearts this year.’ Consumers were also enamored with the toddler—and the decision.

A 1-year-old child is capturing consumers’ hearts—and Gerber is grabbing positive PR in the process.

On Wednesday morning, “The Today Show” announced the winner of Gerber’s yearly photo contest: Lucas Miller, who is toddler with Down syndrome.
