On the MyRagan forums, a communicator asked: “Is anyone using an RSS feed creator … ? I want to start sending internal comms with XML/RSS feeds, but have no clue how to do it.”

Pitching RSS—one approach

If you need help selling RSS to skeptical execs then check out what’s called an RSS enterprise solution. This means you hire an outside vendor who will help make feed creation even easier and ensure feeds don’t slip through the firewall.

“That’s something to consider before you start willy-nilly creating feeds,” Holtz explained. “It can be expensive, but you get what you paid for.”

He mentioned Awareness Networks and NewsGator as two possible vendors.
