Infographic: A quick guide to Facebook’s new image dimensions

Facebook has changed the look of the news feed again, which means you need to learn new image dimensions. Hopefully this graphic makes the transition a little easier.

Facebook wouldn’t be Facebook if it didn’t redesign everything on the site and get us all riled up every now and then.

As you have probably noticed, Facebook redesigned its news feed again. It’s time to learn all new image, video and ad sizes. Yippee.

To help you out, here is an infographic from Jon Loomer that provides image dimensions for everything from profile and cover photos to app images and video thumbnails.

Here are a few of the dimensions you’ll probably need most often:

  • Cover photos: 851 x 315
  • Profile photos: 180 x 180
  • Shared images: 504 x varied height (recommended upload size is 1200 x 1200)
  • Shared videos: 504 x 283
  • Ads (viewed on a desktop): 470 x 246
  • Ads (viewed on a mobile device): 560 x 292

Print out this graphic and keep it close—you’ll need it:
