Terry McKenzie has a lot of advantages that make her more likely than most employee communicators to write a compelling, well-read internal blog, for employees:
First of all, she’s senior director of employee communications at Sun Microsystems, a company that has more than 4,000 employee blogs. When 15 percent of your company’s work force is blogging, what’s one more, right? (Read more about Sun’s blogosphere).
And of course, the whole high-tech industry is generally pro-social media and supports a much more open communication culture than, say, J.P. Morgan Chase, or Goodyear Tire & Rubber.
