We never thought it would get to this. When companies and other organizations started outsourcing and offshoring and outshoring and offsourcing and otherwise shifting work and jobs to overseas companies in the 1980s in order to reduce headcount and save money, we never thought it would get down to the personal level. We never thought that individuals would actually start outsourcing their daily chores and errands. But we’re heading that way, it seems, and we don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Probably a little bit of both.
