Marriott is using Facebook for more than just promotion these days. It’s using it as an employee recruitment tool.
Marriott claims to be the first hotel to use the social network for recruitment purposes, and hopes it will attract the next generation of Marriott employees, USA Today blogger Barbara De Lollis says in a recent post.
How does Marriott plan to do this? By launching a virtual game called “My Marriott Hotel,” where players manage a hotel under constant pressure.
“It’s designed specifically for those who can appreciate the fast pace and complex problems that can arise in running a hotel, such as mediocre employees, sudden spikes in demand, tight budgets and rising costs,” De Lollis says.
