Once again, New York City is the world leader in something. This time it’s per capita Twitter users.
Thanks to its 8 million people, many of whom appearing to be avid Twitter users, New York City is leading the Twitter revolution.
With New York state residents using Twitter 30 percent more than the national average, according to a BusinessInsider.com article, it should come as no surprise that the Big Apple is out front of this developing social media site.
But at the same time, there’s a chance that the Twitter frenzy is specific to the media-heavy city, considering how the platform has yet to go mainstream, muses Business Insider author Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry.
