Ragan Announces 2026 Writing & Content Strategy Virtual Conference

Half-day virtual event will equip communicators with stronger editorial strategies, smarter AI workflows and practical approaches for creating content that earns attention

Chicago, IL (September 2, 2026) Ragan Communications today announced its annual Writing & Content Strategy Virtual Conference, taking place Dec. 3, 2026. The half-day online event will bring together communications, content, public relations and marketing professionals for practical instruction on producing distinctive, credible and effective content in an increasingly AI-driven environment.

As artificial intelligence makes content faster and easier to produce, communicators face a different challenge: creating work that audiences actually want to read, trust and act on. The Writing & Content Strategy Virtual Conference will focus on the editorial judgment, strategic thinking and human expertise required to move beyond generic content and create communications with a clear point of view and measurable purpose.

The conference will run from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET and will explore how communicators can combine strong editorial practices with emerging technology to improve content quality, efficiency and business impact. Attendees will learn how to strengthen AI-assisted drafts, develop better briefs and prompts, protect brand voice, build scalable content workflows and create content designed for modern search and AI-powered discovery.

The program is organized around three areas: The Editor’s Edge, Make Every Story Earn Its Keep and Quality Where It Counts. Sessions will address:

  • Editing AI-assisted content for accuracy, specificity, relevance and voice.
  • Developing stronger briefs, source material and prompts that lead to better content.
  • Building content operating models that balance speed, quality and accountability.
  • Identifying and prioritizing stories based on audience needs and business objectives.
  • Adapting strong ideas across internal communications, executive platforms, earned media, social media and marketing.
  • Writing for the evolving search ecosystem, including AI-generated answers and summaries.
  • Establishing content governance practices that protect organizational data, brand reputation and intellectual property.
  • Connecting stronger storytelling to employee adoption, customer consideration, reputation, revenue and other business outcomes.
  • Preserving originality, editorial judgment and human expertise as AI becomes part of everyday content production.

The conference is designed for professionals responsible for creating, editing, managing or measuring organizational content, including corporate and internal communicators, content strategists, writers and editors, public relations professionals, executive communicators, social media teams, marketers and content operations leaders.

In addition to the live program, attendees will receive presentation slides and toolkit materials, practical frameworks and AI prompts, a Ragan Certificate of Completion and 12 months of on-demand access to the conference recording.

The Writing & Content Strategy Virtual Conference continues Ragan and PR Daily’s focus on helping communications professionals navigate the changing demands of content creation while strengthening the skills that remain essential regardless of technology: reporting, editing, critical thinking, storytelling and strategic judgment.

Registration is now open for the Dec. 3 Writing & Content Strategy Virtual Conference.
