Ragan Communications Opens Entries for AI Excellence Awards
The recognition program honors communicators, marketers, teams and organizations using AI to create measurable impact
Entry Deadline: September 10, 2026
Chicago — June 2, 2026 — Ragan Communications is now accepting entries for its AI Excellence Awards, a recognition program honoring the communicators, marketers, teams, leaders and organizations using artificial intelligence to create meaningful results across communications, PR, marketing and employee experience.
The AI Excellence Awards recognize work that goes beyond experimentation. Categories celebrate AI use cases, AI agents, organizational adoption, people and teams, department-wide AI work and standout innovation. Entries may include work in media relations, executive communications, internal communications, employee engagement, content creation, social media, measurement, research, data insights, personalization, training, governance, workflow and more.
“As AI becomes a bigger part of communications and marketing, the strongest work is not about the tool alone. It is about strategy, judgment, responsible use and measurable outcomes,” said Brendan Gannon, senior marketing manager at Ragan Communications. “Ragan’s AI Excellence Awards will recognize the people and teams applying AI in ways that help organizations communicate more clearly, work more effectively and make better decisions.”
The entry deadline is September 10, 2026. Learn more and enter here.
There are dozens of categories, covering a wide range of AI work, including:
- AI Innovation Award
- Best AI Agent for Internal Comms
- Best AI Chat Bot
- Best AI Guidelines/Governance Framework
- Best AI Internal Adoption Campaign
- Best Internal AI Training/Upskilling Program (L&D)
- Data & Insights
- General Content Creation
- Measurement
- Social Content Creation
See the full list of categories here.
The program is open to communicators, marketers, PR professionals, agencies, consultants, trainers, teams, leaders and organizations. Entrants may submit their own work or nominate a colleague, team, leader, client, organization or cross-functional group.
Judges will look for entries that clearly explain the challenge, strategy, execution, AI use, human oversight and results. Strong submissions will show how AI improved communications, marketing or organizational outcomes, not simply that AI was used.
The entry deadline is September 10, 2026. There is a late deadline on September 17, 2026, but additional late fees apply.
