During Ragan’s Internal Communications Conference this October, Lisa Fratzke, partner and executive strategist at Fratzke Consulting, and Amy Brennan, senior director of corporate communications at Xperi discussed some of the most effective strategies internal communicators can lift from the world of marketing.
The discussion shed light on several subjects, including the current world of communications and the right types of marketing strategies that will work in the world of internal comms. In addition, Fratzke and Brennan shared some actionable examples of these applications that Xperi has put into practice.
Fratzke outlined some strategies that internal comms pros can lean into that originate in marketing, including audience knowledge and learning how to tell a story to that audience better than anyone else.
“Storytelling is the secret to creating a deeper connection with your audience,” Fratzke said. “But it’s also the secret to creating messaging that sticks.”
