Alyssa Kluge is the Director of Communications at Thrive Market, the healthy and sustainable online grocer. In her role, Kluge oversees corporate affairs and reputation management, guiding the company’s communications strategy across earned media, thought leadership, public policy, and the evolving ecosystem of third-party platforms increasingly shaped by large-language models. She has built Thrive Market’s entire communications function in-house, architecting a modern, earned-first storytelling engine that also safeguards corporate credibility across algorithmic and public domains. Kluge recently led Thrive Market's successful government relations effort with the USDA, making the company the first online-only grocer to accept SNAP EBT nationwide, and she regularly lobbies on behalf of the business at the federal level. Prior to Thrive Market, she was a Director at AZIONE, a boutique creative agency representing brands shaping culture and consumer behavior, including sweetgreen, Equinox, Girlboss, and Overheard LA. A Michigan State alum, Kluge holds a B.A. in international affairs. Outside of work, Kluge lives in Long Beach, California, where she teaches Megaformer Pilates and lobbies for animal welfare legislation. She and her family established and oversee The Dublin Scholarship, a fund dedicated to supporting Michigan State University students studying Veterinary Medicine, with a focus on canine care.
