Anthony Farina is globally recognized as an innovative and results-oriented strategic communications leader with an established record of developing and leading creative, high-performance global teams that deliver against business objectives. He has held a range of progressive leadership roles during his 30+ year corporate affairs & communications career across an array of sectors – including for publicly-listed global corporations and governments.
As Fujifilm’s Chief Communications & Brand Officer since April 2025, Anthony currently leads stakeholder communications and engagement for the one of the world’s most recognized brands in the Americas – including brand management, reputation management, content creation, digital communications, employee engagement, external communications, thought leadership, and issues & crisis management.
Transformations, turnarounds, and startups are among Anthony’s leadership specialties across a range of industries – including healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, and consumer goods. Anthony has successfully led and transformed Communications organizations at global iconic organizations – including Fujifilm, CSL, and DuPont.
Anthony is globally recognized for his leadership and capabilities. PR Week twice named Anthony as among the world’s top 5 in-house Communications leaders (2019 and 2023.) Under Anthony’s leadership, PR News selected CSL’s global Corporate Affairs & Communications organization as one of the top 5 in the world. Anthony was chosen as “Internationalist of the Year” for championing innovative communications strategies and advocating responsible brand-building by the acclaimed industry association, The Internationalist. His award-winning capabilities have included receiving the best-in-class Best of Silver Anvil Award and two additional Silver Anvil Awards by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA.)
As the first Chief Communications & Brand Officer for one of the world’s largest biotech c & Top 15 biopharma companies CSL Limited (ASX: CSL), Anthony led strategic communications, brand and reputation management, and corporate affairs for 10+ years for the 100-year-old company in more than 100 countries with 32,000 employees and $USD15-plus billion in annual revenue.
Under Anthony’s leadership, CSL evolved from “the largest company no one has ever heard of” to becoming the global brand leader in rare diseases and influenza vaccines, including a number of unprecedented recognitions. Under Anthony’s leadership, Brand Finance named CSL as the fastest growing brand in the biopharma industry for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024) --- up 32% in brand value Year-over-Year and up 82% since 2020. Forbes named CSL among its Top 50 employers in the world and also among the Top 40 companies in the U.S. for Diversity & Inclusion – both firsts for the company. Reuters also included CSL in its Top 100 global Diversity & Inclusion Index. Harvard Business Review named CSL’s CEO among the Top 100 performing CEOs in the world following similar recognitions by the influential publications around the world, including the Wall Street Journal and Australia Financial Review.
Under Anthony's global Public Affairs leadership for six years, DuPont (NYSE: DD) progressively advanced in several leading global reputation indicators, including FORTUNE’s Top 50 “Most Admired Companies” list – named to the list for an unprecedented six consecutive years.
While Anthony served as Chief Communications Officer & Press Secretary for then-Delaware Gov. Thomas R. Carper, Carper’s approval ratings were between 78-82 percent -- the highest in the U.S. at the time.
Anthony is an active leader in the Arthur Page Society, Public Relations Society of America, Ragan Communications, the Communications Leadership Council and other industry associations. He co-chaired the
Brand Purpose leadership committee of the Associations of National Advertisers (ANA). Anthony has been featured in several leading communications industry books and publications -- including “Beyond Purpose” by ANA, PRSA’s “The Strategist,” profiled as a “Trendsetter” by The Internationalist, and in the globally recognized “Holmes Report.”
