Beth Toal

Beth Toal is the Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for St. Luke’s Health System in Idaho. Toal supports the organization’s nine hospitals, including the state’s only children’s hospital, multiple regional cancer centers and clinics, as well as the organization’s health plan and provider network.

She joined St. Luke’s in 1999 and has held various positions during her time with the organization. In her current role, she leads the health system’s strategic communications functions, including marketing and brand, internal and external communications, content, digital strategy, issues management, public and media relations.

Before joining St. Luke’s, Toal was the communications manager for Healthwise, Incorporated, a health information publishing company based in Boise, Idaho. Prior to working in the health care industry, she worked in sports marketing.

Toal holds a B.A. in Communication from Boise State University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. She serves on the board of the Boise Schools Education Foundation and the Treasure Valley United Way, where she is also a member of the Executive Committee. Beth is a member of the Society for Strategy and Health Care Market Development (SHSMD) and the Arthur W. Page Society.

Toal lives with her family in Boise, Idaho.
