Cheryl Lachance is the manager of employee and executive communications at Emera Inc., a Canadian-based energy and services company serving approximately 2.5 million utility customers in Canada, the U.S. and the Caribbean. She manages employee communications and leads strategies to strengthen engagement with leaders and teams across a 7,000+ person workforce. With more than 17 years of experience in government, social impact and private sectors, Cheryl has transformed legacy channels — such as town halls and CEO updates — into regular, predictable, and strategic opportunities for employees to hear directly from the leadership team and better understand business strategy. Her work focuses on making employee and executive communications more engaging, transparent, and measurable — ensuring leadership messages not only inform but also inspire action. Cheryl holds a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University and a Corporate Communication Certificate from Cornell University.
