What really motivates Jenn Mitchell is creating a better experience for employees. She believes that communication is a vital tool to reinforce the feeling that their workplace is an enjoyable place to go.

Mitchell has been advising corporate leaders on communication strategy since 2004, both as an external consultant and internal employee. Over the past decade, she has focused almost exclusively on human resources and employee wellbeing communications and applying them to creating meaningful employee experiences.

During her time at ROI, Mitchell has supported clients in a range of industries including tech, automotive, hospitality, pharma, and healthcare. She has worked on a variety of initiatives including annual HR strategies, best workplace applications, new benefit launches, new intranets, and cultural events.

Mitchell believes that life’s most valuable commodity is time, so she tries not to waste hers — nor that of others. “We should only give employees worthwhile information, and in a compelling way. Offering information that is overwhelming, that they can’t relate to, or won’t act on is a waste,” she said.

When she’s not advising clients, Mitchell enjoys traveling and making memories with her husband and two daughters.  She lives in a suburb outside New York City.
